The first Flapper?
In 1920 Olive Thomas starred in a movie called 'The Flapper' about a schoolgirl that gets in all sorts of trouble.
At the time she was promoted as a 'baby vamp' - a youthful version of Theda Bara's vampiress characters
Sadly her life was cut short in September of that year when she secumbed to accidental poisoning whilst honeymooning in Paris.
